Visit from the Colonel

Col. Rick Bartch paid a visit to Cpl. David Arensdorf, CSSB-1, CSSC-122, MT, 1st FSSG a few days ago and caught him wearing his work clothes. Col. Bartch delivered a supply of treats to Cpl Arensdorf and his team - overflow from care packages mailed from troop supporters back home. Proud Marine Mom, Sandy Arensdorf reports that when Col. Bartch commented on the pictures adorning the barracks walls, the Marines cleaned house. If only that worked as well back home.

My dad was (now retired) a Marine Colonel and when he commented on different things around my barracks (bedroom) it DID work like that at home... :-)

I got a feeling a title like "Mom the pushover" just isn't going to do it. Guess I'll have to buzz the Col. if I need help. Sandy

I am so happy Rick was able to go meet Sandy's son. I know sometimes he probably just roles his eyes at me asking me to do things like go find some young Marine. But I remind him I hope someone would do that for our young Navy son. I am so proud of him. I can hardly wait to hold him in my arms, but i need to get the house together first..
