Call him JarheadGrandpa now

JarheadDad, proud father of a twice deployed United States Marine sends some wonderful news:

". . . I have become a granddad! Woo-Hoo! Little Hailey Jean was born last Saturday and weighed in at 6lbs 11ozs. What a beautiful baby if I do say so myself! HA! I really didn't know how I would feel about being a grandparent. Some folks say it makes you feel old. I don't know about them but I'm feeling younger every day! Holding that precious little girl does wonders for the mind, heart, and soul!"

Watt sent a disclaimer that he and the new Grandma hadn't slept in 36 hours, but they look great!
"Beau is our oldest and Hailey belongs to he and his wife, Amanda. I haven't decided whether I'll let them keep her or not yet! :-o"
Here's JarheadSister, now AKA Aunt Elizabeth.

Congratulations to the entire JarheadFamily!

John Hawkins has some great suggestions for bloggers - probably the best piece of its kind I've read to date. LaShawn is launching an anti-fake-hate-crime site and there's an interesting discussion going on in her comments section. The problem with... [Read More]

Hearty congratulations, Jarhead Dad/Grandad!!!!
She's a keeper, that's for sure!!!
Glad to see that your son wasn't tempted to do what my husband tried to do...
We knew we were having twin girls (17 years ago) and he argued like hell to name them Marina and Cora..
I just love your granddaughter's name!

That's pretty amazing Deb. Not only did the camera not explode when the pictures were taken but your computer didn't crash when you uploaded! :-o

Now, about that whole hunting down thing....! ;-)

Thanx for the kudos Carrie. I just this minute got back from a visit with little Hailey and she's doing great. Little wiggle-worm that one is. Already trying to hold her own head up. heh!

What's funny is to watch the kids with her. You'd think they are afraid she'll break or something! he-he! Rookies! :-)

Dink has already put a tiny little soccer ball in her crib so here we go again! Da Grunt got ahold of someone's laptop for a few minutes and got to finally see pics of his brand new little niece. He's gassed and can't wait for leave when they get back to the East Coast so he can spoil her rotten! The Lovely Bride and Dink are going to the mall to make one of those Marine Corps bears as a present from Uncle Grunt. It'll probably scare Hailey to no end and give her nightmares! :-o
