MCM celebrates!
One year ago, we started this website with the hope that we'd be able to reach out to other Marine Corps families. It's been quite a year. We've made a lot of new friends and accomplished some amazing things. Thanks to everyone who has put up with our growing pains . . . we realize that some pains were larger than others, but we're working on solutions. Through some generous donations, we were able to purchase the software we needed to upgrade the site and pay for another six months hosting fees. Soon, we'll have our bulletin board up and running. Watch for Operation Santa 2005 launching sometime this summer - we'd love to send Christmas to all Marines deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan this December. Keep us posted if you'd like to be involved. We've got a few more ideas kicking around and we invite other Marine families and friends to become involved. We'll keep you posted! Until then, feel free to use the Donations link at left to help support this site. We're not out to make a profit and any money donated above the costs of operating this site will be used to kickstart Operation Santa this year. Thanks so much for all your support.

WOO-HOO! Congrats are definitely in order. Not only on your annivesary but on getting the comments back up and running! Has it already been a year? Wow!
I missed be able to annoy folks in large quantities! heh! :-o
Now where is Mattson hiding? ;-)
P.S. Did you ever receive the copy of my e-mail to the school board over their lunacy and mental illness? Didn't hear back. Don't worry, I was on my best behavior.
Sort of! :-)
Da Grunt and Da Boyz are heading to CAX soon. Won't be long now 'til they're back smelling the lovely smells of Babylon and living the high brow nightlife in Mesopotamia! :-(

Hey drc, Diego or Parris Island? If it's PI he'll love those sand fleas in the heat of August and September. Look at the bright side, it beats July!
I noticed on your web site that you served. Which branch? If OTM (Other Than Marines) let us know if we can help out with anything. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need anything.
Welcome to the Chaos! :-)

Deb - so glad posting is back! Congratulations on one year of great work. The 8 Marines I adopted through you for Christmas mailed me back the throw-away camera - I'll send you the pictures. Although I ony adopted them for one holiday - their smiles made us know they were glad to receive some holiday joy. I will definitely do it again when you announce this summer. I think those boys are home or coming home now (1/7) - it was a honor to adopt them and show them our appreciation. Couldn't have been done without Marine Moms like you. Thanks.

Thanks for all you do-this site has been great for me and other Marine reservist moms who now have sons in Iraq-makes us fell attached to someone-instead of in left field. We are proud of our guys from Idaho now serving with 1st TKBN A. Co. and 2nd TKBN and also a MP Co.

Thank you so much for all your efforts into this website, I look everyday, it keeps me sane. I was following RCT-1's letters from GreenSide, it is the unit my son hooked up with in Iraq. They are supposed to be heading home, but last word from Jeff is they are possibly delayed :(
Thanks again for all the reading material from everyone who contributes.......
